Gun & Arrows: The Anatomy of the Gears

In hunting there are things that we should really take into consideration especially in the gears that we bring in with us.

Archery. It has been in the history of the world, named as one of the best gears for hunting the best asset of the ‘bow and arrow’ tandem is its silent take off. Not like the guns or riffles, the bow and arrow does not emit any big boom sound that may scare off the animals. Well, arrows also have its disadvantages too. You can’t just fire it up like the guns but you really have to learn the basics and maybe if you are so dedicated with it you really have to go under trainings just to learn the best techniques.

The practical range of the bow is also limited with just 10 to 40 yards of reach. Hunters should really be knowledgeable about bow hunting. So arrows are quite tough on not so skilled archers but practice usually makes everything perfect.

Guns. The easiest way to kill an animal is by firing a bullet into his body in which will paralyze or immediately slay it. Good accuracy is one of the biggest advantage a gun can have, of course it’s faster than arrows flying up in the air and much more powerful. Hunters are currently using this way to have a much more accurate kind of hunting rather than pulling 3 arrows which will cause some delays and ends up not getting anything.

A good friend of mine in the hunting world had a riffle for several years to kill the buck, elks and some other species yet as he find it easy through doing it in a routinely way he eventually shifted to a harder kind of gear namely the ‘bow and arrow’ tandem and the muzzleloaders which he finds so interesting and challenging. Isn’t it great?
